Five-Minute Campaign ROI Reports From a Raw Stripe Export

AnalyticsJan
  • “Five minutes later, I had a comprehensive report that would have taken me hours to compile manually.” — Jan

The problem

After a big shout-out for Teacher AI, the team needed to know whether the campaign actually worked. Stripe's reporting is described as terrible, and compiling lead growth, conversion rates and forecasts manually would have taken hours.

The AI solution

Instead of digging through Stripe dashboards, he exported all the transaction data since the shout-out and uploaded the raw file to GPT. He then asked it plain-language business questions: against a usual baseline of about 140 emails per day, how much have leads increased? What do conversion rates look like? How many people are on free trials versus actually converting? Based on our patterns, how many will likely convert next week? And how do we stack up against industry standards?

Five minutes later he had a comprehensive report covering all of it, including the ROI of the campaign — analysis that would have taken hours to compile by hand. The same pattern extends to course platforms: export Teachable sales reports (the transactions report with timestamps) and ask GPT questions like "How many people who buy Course A end up buying Course B within a year?"

Stripe data export GPT Teachable transaction reports

Results

A comprehensive report in five minutes instead of hours of manual compilation; the team knew the ROI of the shout-out campaign, measured against a baseline of ~140 emails per day.

How to copy it

  1. Export raw transaction data (Stripe, or Teachable's transactions report with timestamps) covering the period you want to analyze.
  2. Upload the file to GPT.
  3. Tell it your baseline numbers, then ask specific questions: lead increase, conversion rates, trials vs. paid, projected conversions.
  4. Ask it to benchmark you against industry standards.
  5. Repeat for cross-sell questions like "how many Course A buyers later buy Course B?"
