Hey!
If you’re new to ‘Langpreneurship’ and want to understand the fundamentals of building an online language business, watch this video first:
VIDEO - How to Use Online Business Fundamentals to Build a Language Business
Watched it? Cool.
To build a successful online language business, you need three things:
A big audience that trusts you (quality traffic)
Turn more viewers into customers (conversion)
Get customers to spend more (good products/offers)
On this page, you’ll find guides that help you nail each of these aspects.
Here we go…
1. Traffic
YouTube
The best way to grow your YouTube videos is to create videos that people want to watch. You need a solid video identification process.
Here’s how to research winning video ideas for free:

Already have 100s of videos on your channel?
The easiest way to get more views is to do more of what’s working; repurpose old videos. This way, you can get the maximum amount of views with minimum effort.

How to get more leads from YouTube
Once you're getting a ton of traffic, you need to capture your fans’ email addresses. Here’s are the best ways to do that:
Promote a lead magnet in each video
Show a screen recording of what the sign up process looks like
Print the lead magnet out, show it in your video
Optimize your opt-in pages for mobile
Mention the lead magnet in a pinned comment
Potentially mention your lead magnet in different places in your video
Use the community tab to promote your lead magnets
Show your face when you promote it in the community tab
Add QR codes to your videos so that people who watch on TV can easily sign up
Test what kinds of lead magnets or PDF work, stick to that format
General rules for CTAs (credits to Chris):
Avoid CTAs at start of video.
Aim for 1 CTA per video, 2 max. 1 per 10 mins video, 2 per 30 mins.
Aim for 3-4 mins in or 30-50% into the video. Whatever comes first.
Keep main the CTA pitch below 45 seconds, ideally much shorter.
Always give social proof in the pitch.
Always make sure landing pages are optimized.
2. Conversion
Convert more leads by setting up a welcome sequence and running regular promotions.

Software
Course Software
Kajabi - Good if you’re looking for an all-in-one platform. It is ideal for memberships, and community, has a very solid page builder and can do your email marketing. It’s slightly more expensive than Teachable but you won’t need other email marketing software which can end up saving you money. Not recommended if you want to ‘decentralize’ your software.
Teachable - It’s slightly cheaper and it’s very easy to use. It’s ideal for course creators who don’t need extensive marketing tools or highly customizable designs but want an easy way to manage and sell courses. The best thing about it, it remits VAT/ US sales tax!
Email Software
